About a.clinic
a.clinic is a technology platform that connects people living with obesity with doctors licensed in Slovakia. The consultation is online, the doctor decides on any treatment, and a prescription is collected at a pharmacy.
Who we are
The platform is run by a.clinic, s. r. o., Jakabova 3621/45, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovakia, company ID (IČO) 57789843, tax ID (DIČ) 2123120736.
Healthcare is provided by the doctor or their clinic. a.clinic is the technology and the service around it: the questionnaire, booking, the video call and payment. We do not sell, ship or recommend medicines.
How it works
The steps are the same wherever you are:
- You fill in a health questionnaire and upload blood tests and a body composition measurement.
- You pay and book the consultation.
- A licensed doctor speaks with you for 20 minutes by video.
- The doctor decides whether any treatment is right for you. If it is, the prescription is electronic.
How we check doctors
A doctor can see patients through a.clinic only after:
- we have checked their registration with the Slovak Medical Chamber,
- we have verified their identity,
- the doctor or their clinic has signed a contract with a.clinic.
The doctor is paid the same, whatever they decide
A doctor is paid the same whether or not they prescribe. They have no reason to push you towards anything, and can simply say that treatment is not for you.
What it costs
The first 20-minute consultation is €79 including the first month of care, then €29 a month, cancellable at any time. You see the price before you pay. Medicines are bought separately at the pharmacy, and health insurers do not reimburse the consultation.

Our articles are written by the a.clinic team. Every fact in them has a public source, listed under the article with the date we checked it. We do not write about specific medicines: treatment is the doctor's decision.
