The first consultation is the beginning, not the end. Weight care is ongoing, and it looks different from a single appointment.
First consultation
20 minA full history, and a decision. Your first month of care is included.
Monthly reviews
about 5 minHow you are, how your weight is moving, whether anything needs adjusting.
Repeat prescriptions
Where treatment continues, written by your doctor at a review. Never automatic.
Adjust, or stop
Your doctor can change the approach, or conclude that carrying on makes no sense.
Cancel at any time
From your account. Nobody to ring, nothing to explain.
Short reviews, not repeated assessments
A first consultation takes twenty minutes because your doctor is taking a full history. Later reviews are short (around five minutes) because they are asking something different: how you are, how your weight is moving, whether anything is bothering you, whether anything needs adjusting.
You keep the same doctor. You are not starting again each time with somebody who has never met you.

What your doctor will want to know
- Your weight, recorded as you go, not reconstructed the night before.
- How you are feeling, and whether anything has changed.
- Whether you have missed a dose, and why.
- Any new medicines or new symptoms since last time.
Repeat prescriptions
Where treatment continues, the prescription is written by your doctor at a review, not by an automatic process. That is what the review is for: a repeat prescription issued without anybody asking how you are is not care.
If it is not working
Say so. Your doctor can change the approach, address side effects, or conclude that continuing this way makes no sense. That is a legitimate outcome too, and a better one than months of carrying on out of momentum.

How to stop
You cancel the monthly care from your account, at any time. There is nobody to ring and nothing to explain.
a.clinic is a technology platform. Healthcare is provided by a licensed doctor, who decides whether any treatment is appropriate for you. We do not decide about specific medicines and do not write about them.
- How often are the reviews?
- Usually monthly, and they take around five minutes. When your doctor wants to see you is their call, based on how treatment is going.
- Will I keep the same doctor?
- Yes. You continue with the one you started with.
- What if I need longer than five minutes?
- A longer consultation can be booked. Where the reason is clinical, your doctor can provide it at no extra charge.
- Can I cancel at any time?
- Yes, from your account. The monthly payment simply does not renew.
